Look at the imaging we found of when the Tongan Defence Rugby Union Team came to Canberra in 2011.
Dan Fasch has been busy over the last three weeks as Physiotherapist for the Tongan Defence Rugby Union Team. They have been based in Canberra for the International Defence Rugby Competition and are using the Queanbeyan Whites home ground as a training facility and Matrix Physiotherapy for rehabilitation and treatment.
Dan has also provided on field and side line coverage for the Tongan Defence Rugby Union Team during their games against China and Australia. Dan also went to Sydney with them last week for the quarter finals against New Zealand. The New Zealand “Haka “vs the Togan “Sipi Tau “ a real highlight and set the tone for a bruising contest.
The Tongan Defence Rugby Union Team defeated New Zealand Defence Forces (27 – 26) and move into the semi final against the Bristish Army in Auckland.
Check out the IDRC website for their progress at www.idrc2011.com
The Tongan Team team attended the Matrix Physiotherapy Clinic in Queanbeyan at the end of last week to perform a Tongan farewell song and their war dance, the Sipi Tau.
Check out our gallery or slide show for some great pictures of the Tongan Rugby Union Defence Team!
We wish them good luck for the finals.
